Privacy

PopKeep keeps your collection records and saved photos on your device. The network is used only to download catalog data, recognize photos you choose to submit, sync through iCloud, and receive feedback you send. Submitted recognition photos are not retained. No ads, no tracking.
PopKeep is designed and developed by Taozi, an independent developer. For any question about this policy — or to exercise any right described below — email 915079987@qq.com.
Your collection records (names, series, quantities, dates added, and so on) live in a database on your device. Photos you take or select are copied into the app's own storage, and EXIF metadata — including location — is stripped before saving. Each entry holds up to 5 photos.
When you choose to use recognition, the app sends a temporary, compressed copy of the photo to our self-hosted recognition service over HTTPS for that matching request only. EXIF metadata is removed before transmission. The server processes the image in memory and does not retain the image, its contents, or its hash; the request data is discarded afterward. If recognition fails, times out, or you choose not to use it, the photo is not sent.
Saved collection records and photos remain on your device. Deleting the app deletes this on-device data with it.
The app downloads designer-toy catalog metadata (brand, IP, series, and figure names and identification fields) over HTTPS from peachwidgets.site to organize collections and show progress. Third-party reference images collected for matching are used only inside our server; they are not displayed in the app, bundled with the app, or made available to users for browsing or downloading.
Catalog requests carry none of your collection content and no app-generated user or device identifier. As with any website, our access logs may include an IP address, request time, path, status code, and User-Agent, and can be associated with the network request. Logs are rotated daily with 14 generations retained and are used only for service security, capacity, and troubleshooting. We do not use them for advertising or cross-app or cross-site tracking.
On iPhone, you can back up your entire collection — photos and records alike — to your own iCloud account via "My → Cloud". Backups are stored in your CloudKit private database, accessible only through your iCloud account. Taozi cannot read them, and their handling is governed by Apple's privacy policy.
If multiple devices change your collection at the same time, the app does not merge or overwrite either side.
Only when you submit feedback through "My → Feedback" do we receive what you wrote, via peachwidgets.site/popkeep-feedback/: a message of up to 150 characters and up to 4 images you explicitly attach (the app compresses them to a longest edge of about 2048 pixels first).
Feedback messages and images are stored as plain files on our server until you request deletion. The feedback files do not include an account, an app-generated device identifier, or diagnostic logs. The corresponding request may still appear in access logs containing an IP address, request time, and path.
The camera is used only when you photograph a figure to add it. Photos are chosen through the system photo picker: the app processes only the images you select and never asks for your entire library. You can revoke either permission at any time in iOS Settings → PopKeep; the related features stop working, but your saved data is unaffected.
If a future version introduces new networked capabilities, we will update this policy before the feature ships and note the new effective date. The latest version on this page always applies.
